Return Policy

Most items with proof of purchase can be returned within 30 days. Returns with a gift receipt will be refunded in the form of a Merchandise Credit for the purchased amount, while returns with an original receipt will be refunded in the original form of payment. Please note that returned items must be in new condition. We cannot accept returns on monogrammed/personalized items, custom upholstered furniture and made to order items, final sale items ending in .97, .98 or .99, some specific special order items and perishable food. Sorry, we cannot accept returns due to normal wear and tear. Prior purchases are not eligible for price adjustments.

We are no longer accepting returns for online purchases of Williams Sonoma Home products at any of our retail stores or Williams Sonoma/Williams Sonoma Home Outlets. For assistance, please contact our Customer Care Team (see info below).

Holiday Return Policy

To help with your holiday gift giving, we’re extending our return policy. Gifts purchased between November 1 and December 24, 2021 may be returned or exchanged through January 31, 2022 when accompanied by a gift receipt or original receipt.

WAYS TO RETURN

  • Stores – You can return most items to your local Williams Sonoma location (outlets excluded). We are no longer accepting returns for online purchases of Williams Sonoma Home products at any of our retail stores or Williams Sonoma/Williams Sonoma Home Outlets. A gift receipt or original receipt is required for all returns and exchanges.
  • By Mail (under 70lbs) - Visit our Desktop Site to print a label for UPS Carriers or use the form attached to your invoice.

Please note that we cannot accept returns on monogrammed/personalized items, gift cards, special-order items, custom upholstery, food, items shipped direct from the vendor, or on items damaged through normal wear and tear. We also cannot accept returns of final-sale items, which are identified by a price ending in .99 or .97.

We take great pride in the quality of our merchandise. If for any reason you are not happy with your purchase, you may return the item(s) within 30 days of receiving the order for a full refund of the merchandise cost. For all cutlery returns (knife sets, single knives, cutting boards, knife sharpeners, and knife storage) please call us at 888.922.4108. An original receipt or gift receipt is required for all returns and exchanges. Returns with a gift receipt will be refunded in the form of a Merchandise Credit for the amount indicated on the gift receipt. Returns with original receipt will be refunded in the original form of payment. Cash and check refunds over $100 will be issued as a company check (may take 14 business days from time of request).

For returns of items purchased from your Williams Sonoma Gift Registry, we will gladly provide a refund or exchange for the merchandise within 90 days of your event or within 90 days of purchase, whichever date is later.

Online returns are available only for items that were shipped to the United States. If you would like to return items that were shipped outside the US, please see International Returns and Exceptions.

HOW TO RETURN BY MAIL

Complete the Return Form attached to the invoice or gift receipt that accompanied your [______] item(s). Indicate the reason for the return and if you want a replacement or merchandise credit. Place the Return Form in the box. Be sure to tear off the top portion of the form and keep it for your records.
