The slightly smoky sweetness of maple syrup pairs perfectly with oaky bourbon in this quintessential autumn cocktail. For an extra layer of flavor, use a Crafthouse Cocktail Smoking Box to add a smoky finish.

Pour the bourbon, maple syrup, and lemon juice into a shaker filled with ice. Stir until the drink is thoroughly chilled, about 20 seconds. Strain into a double old-fashioned glass with a large cube of ice.

If desired, using a Crafthouse Cocktail Smoking Box according to the manufacturer's instructions, smoke the cocktail with applewood chips for 15 seconds, or until the desired amount of smokiness is achieved. Garnish with the lemon twist and serve immediately. Makes 1 drink.
