Sesame Ponzu Bowl with Farro, Shrimp and Sugar Snap Peas

The secret is in the sauce, and our Sesame Ponzu Bowl Starter delivers amazing flavor to this dish, which includes everything you need—grains, vegetables and protein—in a single bowl. To make the starter, we partnered with Flower Child, the fast-casual restaurant whose mission is to create “healthy food for a happy world.” All you do is cook a few simple ingredients, toss with the starter and then cozy up to a nourishing and satisfying meal.

Ingredients

Directions

Cook the farro according to the packaging instructions, then drain and let cool.

Meanwhile, in a saucepan over high heat, bring 4 cups (32 fl. oz./1 l) salted water to a boil. Fill a medium bowl with ice and water. Add the broccoli to the boiling water and cook until bright green and crisp-tender, about 3 minutes. Using a slotted spoon, transfer the broccoli to the ice bath. Add the sugar snap peas to the boiling water and cook until bright green and crisp-tender, about 1 1/2 minutes. Transfer to the ice bath with the broccoli, stir and then drain; set aside.

Season the shrimp with salt and pepper. In a small sauté pan over medium heat, warm the oil. Add the shrimp and cook, stirring frequently, until pink and opaque, about 4 minutes.

In a bowl, toss the farro with the sesame ponzu bowl starter. Transfer to a serving bowl and top with the broccoli, sugar snap peas, spiralized carrots and shrimp. Sprinkle with the green onion and sesame seeds, drizzle with more sesame ponzu bowl starter as desired and serve. Serves 1.
