Spice Trade Mule

Cocktails should be fun, easy to make and, most importantly, delicious. In that spirit, Williams Sonoma is partnering with Cocktail Courier to deliver kits right to your doorstep that include everything you need to whip up craft cocktails created by the world's best professional bartenders. The recipe for our Spice Trade Mule was created by Maxime Belfand, bartender at Saxon + Parole in New York City. Warm rooibos chai tea, blended with fragrant spices—cloves, nutmeg, cinnamon, allspice and cardamom—meet the bright flavors of zesty lemon. This fall-inspired mule uses neutral vodka to create a beautifully mellow backbone, coupled with the complexity of our lemon chai cordial and the gentle kick of spicy ginger beer.

In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine the vodka, lemon chai tea cordial and lemon juice. Shake vigorously until well chilled, about 10 seconds. Strain into a chilled Collins or rocks glass and top with the ginger beer. Garnish with the lemon wheel and serve. Makes 1 drink.
