Spicy Roast Broccolini

Lots of garlic and a sprinkling of red pepper flakes amp up the flavor of broccolini. Here it roasts to tender perfection in the oven, where the high heat turns the edges nicely charred and wonderfully crispy. A squeeze of fresh lemon juice adds a hit of brightness. This simple side dish makes a great accompaniment to roast chicken, pork or fish.

Ingredients

Directions

Place a rimmed baking sheet in an oven and preheat to 425°F (220°C).

In a bowl, toss together the broccolini, garlic and olive oil, and season with salt and black pepper. Carefully remove the baking sheet from the oven, add the broccolini and spread in a single layer. Roast until the broccolini is fork-tender and lightly charred, about 10 minutes. Sprinkle with red pepper flakes and serve with lemon wedges for squeezing. Serves 4.
