Callie's Biscuits Gluten Free Biscuits

A small family business famous for handmade biscuits and other Southern specialties, Callie's makes delicious baked goods that will leave you wanting more – many more. Every biscuit is handmade from scratch in Charleston, using the best local ingredients. These gluten-free biscuits have all the buttery, flaky goodness of the originals. It's no surprise, given that the expert bakers of Callie's tested numerous gluten-free flours before arriving at the ultimate recipe.

• Shipped frozen to arrive chilled.

Receiving Instructions

• Biscuits are shipped frozen with gel packs. Upon receipt, store in freezer, where they will keep for up to 3 months. Keep frozen until ready to bake.

Preparation

• Preheat oven to 400°F.
• Remove biscuits from plastic bag and let thaw just enough so you can separate layers that are stacked on top of each other; do not pull individual biscuits apart at this point. Discard parchment paper.
• Place both biscuit layers side by side on large piece of aluminum foil. Wrap edges of foil over biscuits to cover them completely and place directly on oven rack. Bake until biscuits are warmed through, approx. 25 minutes. Open foil and bake until biscuits are golden brown, 5–10 minutes more. Let cool slightly, then pull individual biscuits apart.

• Gluten-free flour (cornstarch, white rice flour, brown rice flour, milk powder, tapioca flour, potato starch, xanthan gum), aluminum-free baking powder, salt, butter (pasteurized cream), cream cheese (pasteurized milk, cream, whey, cheese culture), buttermilk (cultured milk, food starch), heavy cream.
