Coq Au Vin Braising Sauce
Receiving Instructions
- Store unopened at room temperature. Once opened, store in refrigerator.
- Product may separate. Shake well before use.
Coq Au Vin Recipe
- Season 4-lb. (2-kg) chicken, cut into 8 serving pieces, with salt and pepper. In Dutch oven over medium-high heat, warm 1 Tbs. oil. Add 8 oz. (250g) diced bacon and cook until browned, 5–8 minutes. Drain. Pour off all but 1 Tbs. fat from pot. Working in batches, brown chicken on all sides. If using slow cooker, transfer chicken and bacon to insert and add braising sauce. Cover and cook on high until chicken is cooked through, approx. 4 hours, adding 2 cups (200g) thawed frozen pearl onions in last hour of cooking. If using stovetop, return all chicken and bacon to pot and add braising sauce. Bring to a simmer, scraping up browned bits. Reduce heat to low, cover and simmer, stirring occasionally, until chicken is cooked through, approx. 45 minutes, adding onions in last 20 minutes of cooking. Skim fat off sauce and serve. Makes 4–6 servings.
Meyer Lemon Braising Sauce

Meyer Lemon Braised Chicken Recipe
- Season 4-lb. (2-kg) chicken, cut into 8 serving pieces, with salt and pepper. In large fry pan or Dutch oven over medium-high heat, warm 2 Tbs. oil until just smoking. Working in batches, brown chicken on all sides. If using slow cooker, transfer chicken to insert and add braising sauce. Cover and cook on low until chicken is fork-tender, approx. 4 hours. If using oven, preheat to 350°F (180°C). Return all chicken to pot and add braising sauce. Cover, transfer to oven and cook until chicken is fork-tender, approx. 1 hour. Skim fat off sauce and serve. Makes 4–6 servings.
Short Rib Braising Sauce
Receiving Instructions

Braised Short Ribs Recipe
- Season 4-lb. (2-kg) bone-in short ribs with salt and pepper. Dredge in flour and shake off excess. In large fry pan or Dutch oven over medium-high heat, warm 2 Tbs. oil. Working in batches, brown ribs on all sides. If using slow cooker, transfer ribs to insert and add braising sauce. Cover and cook on high until meat is tender, approx. 6–7 hours. Transfer ribs to plate. Skim fat off sauce and pour sauce into saucepan. Simmer, stirring occasionally, until thickened, approx. 10 minutes. If using oven, preheat to 325°F (163°C). Transfer ribs to plate and pour off excess fat in pot. Add braising sauce and bring to a simmer. Add ribs, cover pot tightly with foil and cover with lid. Transfer to oven and cook until meat is tender, approx. 4 hours. Skim fat off sauce and serve. Makes 4–6 servings.

For an additional charge of $26 per address, we can expedite delivery to most destinations. Return Policy
At Williams Sonoma, we take great pride in the quality and craftsmanship of our products. Attention to design, materials, safety and construction are our priority. Upon receipt, please inspect your purchase and notify us of any damage; we will arrange for a prompt replacement.
Within 30 days, you may return most items for a refund of the merchandise value. An original receipt or gift receipt is required for all returns and exchanges. Returns with a gift receipt will be refunded in the form of a Merchandise Credit for the amount indicated on the gift receipt. Returns with original receipt will be refunded in the original form of payment, cash and check refunds over $100 will be issued as a company check (may take 14 business days from time of request). Please note that returned items must be in new condition.

We cannot accept returns on monogrammed, personalized, special-order items, custom upholstery, food or on items damaged through normal wear and tear.
