Shugg's Lemon Lavender Pound Cake, Serves 12-15

Stokes' classic Southern sweets are inspired by treasured recipes passed down through generations of her family in the Mississippi Delta. Known for its rich flavor, this tender pound cake is hand made using creamy butter, whole eggs and tangy sour cream. Receiving Instructions

• Cake ships fresh at ambient temperature. Upon receipt, remove from shipping container and store at room temperature for up to 1 week, in refrigerator for up to 2 weeks or in freezer for up to 3 months. 

Preparation Instructions

• Prepare glaze mix on stove or in microwave. 
• Stove: In medium saucepan, heat 1/4 cup water and 3 Tbs. butter until melted. Gradually stir in glaze mix. Whisk on medium heat until glaze is smooth, approx. 20 seconds. Drizzle over cake. 
• Microwave: In 1 1/2-qt. bowl, combine 1/4 cup water and 3 Tbs. butter. Microwave on high for 30–45 seconds or until butter is melted. Add glaze mix and stir until smooth. Drizzle over cake. 

Serving Instructions

• Cake is best enjoyed at room temperature. If refrigerated or frozen, allow cake to come to room temperature before serving.
• Store leftover cake in airtight container in refrigerator for up to 7 days.

• Glaze mix: Powdered sugar (sugar, cornstarch), lemon powder (corn syrup solids, lemon juice concentrate, lemon oil), lavender powder (lavender).
