Williams Sonoma Peppermint Bark Croissants

Start holiday mornings with fresh-baked croissants, inspired by our legendary Peppermint Bark. Crafted in the traditional style, the delicious pastries are prepared with buttery pastry dough and filled with batons of peppermint-infused semisweet chocolate. Prep is simple – just thaw and bake to enjoy festive croissants with an irresistible aroma, flaky golden-brown exteriors and melty mint-chocolate centers.

Receiving Instructions

• Croissants ship frozen with dry ice, which may have evaporated during shipment. This is normal. Please take care not to touch any remaining dry ice with bare hands.
• Upon receipt, remove from shipping container and store in freezer for up to 7 months.

Thawing & Proofing Instructions

• Place frozen croissants, rounded side up, on parchment-lined baking sheet. Cover loosely with plastic wrap and thaw in refrigerator for 3–8 hours. Remove thawed croissants and let sit at room temperature to rise and proof until nearly double in size, approx. 2–3 hours. Remove plastic wrap.
• Alternatively, place frozen croissants, rounded side up, on parchment-lined baking sheet, approx. 4" apart, and cover loosely with plastic wrap. Allow to thaw and rise at room temperature until nearly double in size, approx. 4–8 hours. Remove plastic wrap.

Preparation Instructions

• Preheat conventional oven to 350°F or convection oven to 375°F. Brush croissants with egg wash and bake until golden, puffed and firm to the touch, approx. 18–20 minutes.
• Allow to cool slightly before serving.

• Dough: Enriched, unbleached, unbromated flour (wheat flour, malted barley flour, niacin, iron, thiamine mononitrate, riboflavin, folic acid), water, butter (pasteurized cream, lactic acid, starter distillate), cane sugar, yeast, salt, nonfat milk powder, dough conditioner (wheat gluten, xanthan gum, ascorbic acid, xylanase [enzyme], alpha-amylase [enzyme]), wheat gluten, egg, citric acid.
• Mint Chocolate: Semisweet chocolate (sugar, unsweetened chocolate [processed with potassium carbonate], cocoa butter, milk fat [butter]), sunflower lecithin, vanilla, peppermint oil (redistilled).
