• Whip up a flavorful, satisfying side dish in minutes with our time-saving starter. Inspired by Middle Eastern cuisine, it features premium durum semolina couscous seasoned with savory-sweet spices, a hint of cayenne pepper and tangy orange peel. Just simmer the starter with water or stock, then serve it with roasted vegetables and meat or seafood. You can also chill it and toss it with fresh greens, slivered almonds, golden raisins and olive oil to create an entrée salad.

Receiving Instructions

• Starter ships fresh at ambient temperature.
• Upon receipt, store in cool, dark place for up to 24 months.

Preparation Instructions

• In medium saucepan, bring 1 1/4 cups (310ml) water or stock to a boil with a pinch of salt and 1 Tbs. olive oil or butter. Stir in 1 cup (185g) couscous and remove from heat. Cover and let stand for 5 minutes. Fluff with fork and serve.
• Optional: Chill couscous, then toss with slivered almonds, golden raisins or pomegranate arils, and drizzle with olive oil.

• Durum wheat semolina, spices (mustard, cumin, cilantro, coriander, ginger, cinnamon, pepper, nutmeg, cayenne), bell pepper, 2% or less of: salt, sunflower oil, turmeric, orange peel, ground sumac (sumac, salt).
