Assorted Fruit Sorbet Shots
Try this unique little dessert at your next party: pass small scoops of ready-made tropical fruit sorbets. Guests will enjoy the cool mix of refreshing flavors, and something sweet will signal that the gathering is coming to a close.
Ingredients:
- 3 cartons (each 1 pint) assorted sorbets, such as coconut, mango and kiwifruit
- Diced fruits, such as mango, banana and kiwifruit, for garnish
Directions:
Select 42 shot glasses or small paper cups. Using a small ice cream scoop about 1 1/2 inches in diameter, fill each glass with a scoop of sorbet. Place the glasses on a tray in the freezer until ready to serve, or up to 1 day in advance.
To serve, place a miniature ice cream parlor spoon or demitasse spoon in each glass. Garnish each serving with a few pieces of fruit. Arrange on 1 or 2 trays. Makes 42 shots; serves 10 to 12.
