Espresso Glossary
Espresso: A single shot of rich, aromatic espresso.

Espresso Doppia: A double espresso.

Espresso Macchiato: A shot of espresso "marked" with a spot of milk foam.

Espresso con Panna: A shot of espresso topped with a dollop of whipped cream.

Espresso Romana: A shot of espresso garnished with a twist of lemon.

Espresso Shakerato: A shot of espresso mixed in a shaker with ice and sugar.

Cappuccino: A shot of espresso crowned with a frothy cap of milk foam.

Caffè Americano: A shot of espresso diluted with up to 7 oz. of hot water.

Caffè Corretto: A shot of espresso "corrected" with brandy or liqueur.

Caffè Latte: A shot of espresso topped with steamed milk and a thin layer of milk foam.

Caffè Lungo: A "long" shot of espresso brewed with up to 2 oz. of water.

Caffè Mocha: A shot of espresso mixed with steamed milk and chocolate, topped with milk foam or whipped cream.

Caffè Marocchino: A shot of espresso sprinkled with cocoa and topped with a dollop of milk foam.

Caffè Ristretto: An intense, extra-strength espresso "restricted" by brewing with less water.
