According to classic cocktail lore, the Old Fashioned originated back in the 19th century at the Pendennis Club in Louisville, Kentucky. This recipe for the classic cocktail uses a signature mixer from Williams Sonoma and Woodford Reserve that brings home the drink’s iconic flavors by combining raw Demerara sugar with natural lemon, cherry, and bitters. The Woodford Old Fashioned is the perfect cocktail to enjoy while decorating the tree, wrapping presents or entertaining guests at your home this holiday season.
Ingredients:
- 1/2 oz. (15 ml) chilled Woodford Reserve X Williams Sonoma Cocktail Mix, Old Fashioned
- 2 oz. (60 ml) Woodford Reserve Bourbon
- 1 large ice cube
- Orange twist for garnish
Directions:
In a rocks glass, stir together the chilled cocktail mix and bourbon. Add a large ice cube and garnish with an orange twist. Makes 1 drink.
